After listening to this episode no lie the last 10 mins got me. It always gets to me how men say they can’t be vulnerable. Definitely give yourself grace as men. It is okay to make mistakes. One thing I had to learn as a woman: I AM NOT MY MISTAKE. He forgives us when we ask the first time: FORGIVE YOURSELF. Honestly, you’re already taking the steps to break what that “thing” is that’s causing you, in your eyes, to not “do life right” In this podcast: being vulnerable. we are aren’t going to get this thing called life “right.” God knew this. Like you said GO TO HIM especially if you feel you can’t go to anyone else. We’re supposed to go to Him FIRST anyway. Show those weaknesses amongst each other. I think I can speak on WOMEN, not girls there’s a difference, US WOMEN WANT OUR MEN TO BE VULNERABLE. Stop holding that ish in!! This podcast I think I’m gone have to put at the top. Yall opened up here especially the last 20 mins of it. let your feelings OUT! We do! It’s about how you let them out. Therapy is definitely helpful also having that circle of like minded men (for yall) as well as we have our sister circle (wise counsel & accountable). Okay that’s my spill. This was good yall 👏🏾

I enjoyed this. I always wondered how “celebrities” or those who have a high level of fame/spotlight, felt coming into church. I see people “fan out” is what I call it. To me, i definitely view yall as human who’s gift/occupation has them in the spotlight doesn’t mean yall want to be treated as such even in the church house. That’s just my opinion though.

Just finished this episode. I love this gentleman. Jon, You showing your authentic side, continue to. I like this side of you. I haven’t met you, YET, but Lord willing I will. You have a warm, genuine spirit underneath that shyness (hence I know that feeling of shrinking down so no one will approach me. Can’t do that). On to episode 2!

I’ve watched many family members take this “undeserving” belief and accept anything and everything. I’ve watched it directly correlate to a lack of boundaries and standards because they deserved struggle and hardship as a badge of honor. They couldn’t see that things could be better or different, and maybe it wasn’t for their generation to see. Gifts and talents dormant. For the first time, because of Christ I see myself as worthy… of something more. Deserving of Love, deserving of care, otherwise why would God say we are “very Good”, if The Father didn’t want us to accept His favor, accept his love, accept his care for us. Maybe the word isn’t, deserving, but accept and/or appreciate… because I accept this free gift. I won’t turn it away. People are just trying to figure out how to love themselves better. My unpopular opinion

Now that I’m finishing this podcast I can see some of the things that you all mentioned as men, I as a woman have had some of these traits. The most important thing is what Israel said GIVE YOURSELF GRACE. BE PATIENT. TRUST HIS TIMING is what Israel said in so many words. I needed to hear that because society will make you put a timeframe on this & that and NO! I can say you’ll know when you come across her especially if you’ve taken that to God. He knows the desires of our hearts. This gives me hope to give dating another chance. I’ve let my past define and believed it. No, no, no. I dated a musician in my 20s and that was a STRONG NO then. Hearing this though and what I know now in my 30s I didn’t view musicians in the right light, if I can say. I’ve definitely decided to part ways with the church clock, society clock, etc cause at the end of the day I want it to be God as our foundation, him, & me. That friendship for sure to be there first but most importantly GOD’S APPROVAL NOT PEOPLE! Now I’m about to go play “People” 😉

I had to pause this as Israel was talking about children born out of wedlock, being born out of wedlock, etc. That did something to me. I literally told myself that cycle ends with me. So much so I didn’t realize I made that apart of my identity & didn’t know it. I’ve never listened to your podcast but it pulled up. I always said id never date another musician because unfortunately it didn’t end well, he was unfaithful. Yet, I can honestly no all of you don’t deserve the reputation because not all of you are the same. Shoot none of us are. Okay let me finish listening

My husband was abused physically and had cancer as a child, when i met him he stuttered so bad he could barely state his name. Today he speaks clearly, is cancer free, and a great father to both our children. The victory belongs to Jesus!!❤❤❤HES ALL I NEED!!!✝✝✝✝✝✝🙏🙏🙏

My husband stepped out on me and my baby a few months ago...moved out and has been living his life outside of our marriage. 🙏He doesn't care to see his baby and left me feeling broken and abandoned. I've had to sit back and watch as he's dating other women like we're not married. I've been crying every day for months, but now starting to pick up the pieces bit by bit. This song helps me find a new piece of me everyday; new strength to move forward. Thank God for loving and never forsaking me. 🙏
